Day 124 - USA Tour - Torrey, UT

Overnight: Torrey, UT
Repair and R&R Day

As soon as Dave woke up, he informed me that he wanted to get the brakes checked. So, I know he did not sleep well last night worrying about them.

We called the office and got a recommendation for a mechanic in this very small town. He called back in about 30 minutes and within an hour, Dave was off to have him check the brakes. I was a little concerned when he said he was at an RV park working on someones water heater.

But, the brakes were in good shape. All we had done was to burn up (get too hot) the brake fluid. So, the mechanic bled the lines and replaced the fluid. Only cost us $56, so I was happy since we had just had the brakes replaced in Spearfish, SD.

Dave got back around 1 PM, so he invited me out to lunch. The pickin's were not that many and we opted out of the first place we stopped. We ended up at a hotel just above our campground, and it so happens it was affiliated with our campground. The lunch was ho-hum. Dave got a patty melt and I got a ground-beef burrito.

After lunch, we went junk shopping. Didn't buy anything, but had fun looking. Dave likes to do this and I don't really like to shop--just to look. But, items were interesting, I have to admit.

Back to the RV. Dave napped. I crocheted.

For dinner, I made ye ol' nutritious boxed mac and cheese, leaf spinach, and Polish sausage.

I am reading The Shack at Pastor Joe's recommendation. It is now getting very interesting. However, I typically only read before going to sleep, so I only get a chapter read before I am out cold.

We had only planned to overnight in Torrey, so I will be glad to get a move on since we had to stay an extra day---but we are now safe.
