Day 113 - USA Tour - Valencia, CA

Overnight: Valencia, CA
Pampering Pam Day

This morning while Dave slept in, I got one of the longer blog entries completed. Phew. It took several hours, what with having to name all the photos and get everything written and posted.

While I still had energy and after Dave awoke, I vacuumed, dusted, and washed floors. It took me quite a while to do this as it's so hot here, I had to stop and rest quite often--even with the AC running.

Next, I was off for my pampering. First I had my spa pedicure (the last one I had was weeks and weeks ago in Spreafish, SD). Next, I treated myself to a back and neck massage of 50 minutes of bliss and serenity. And, finally, I was off to get my hair cut again. It was cut only 3 weeks ago, but she did such a lousy job, all I have done is complain about it since then. It was way too long on top and the back was very straggly. So, now I feel much more "put together" and ready to continue our journey.

I stopped at the grocery store to buy a few essentials and then I was off to our RV retreat.

Before I left for my pampering this afternoon, I had made dinner in the crockpot. I layered onions, baby carrots, potatoes, and then stew meat. On top of the meat, I sprinkled a healthy dose of Lawry's season salt and some dill. Then, I spread a can of cream of celery soup all over the meat to seal it. I did not add any extra liquid and it was just the right consistency. The concoction created a thick broth. It was VERY yummy and it was so relaxing to have the meal all done when I returned from being pampered.

After working on the blog for a bit, I retreated to my recliner to watch TV. And, as I gazed passed my beautifully manicured toes at the TV, I couldn't help thinking of how wonderful this trip has been and how blessed we are to have enjoyed all these experiences. We never know what tomorrow will bring, so I want to say "Thank you, God for everything"!
