Day 24 - USA Tour - Green Bay, WI (Navy Reunion)

Overnight: Radisson, Green Bay, WI
R&R Day

Yesterday's touring was quite tiring, so we did a lot of visiting with the other attendees and just plain relaxing.

After breakfast, I wondered into the casino (by now, I've kind of adjusted to the smell of smoke) and dropped in a buck. I won $1.25 and decided that was a good time to quit--I was ahead $0.25. Such a big gambler!

In this picture, the buffet breakfast area is to the left (out of sight behind the car they are trying to give away), and the casino entrance is on the right.

After breakfast, Dave went to the hospitality suite to visit with the guys, and I went back to the room and worked on the blog learning how to post to YouTube.

Later in the day, we dropped off the afghan for the raffle and then just spent our time visiting with the other couples. We purchased our first group of raffle tickets (this is the fund raiser for the reunion group).

Today many of the attendees were on two other tours that were offered, neither of which we opted to go on. One was to tour a nuclear power plant, which we did a few years ago in Kentucky; and the other tour was of a submarine and maritime museum.

In the evening we, ventured back to the hospitality suite and did more visiting and purchased our second batch of raffle tickets. It's nice to see Dave connect with the other men and try to get to know them. The majority of the attendees served before Dave and each year the reunion group picks up a few more guys that served aboard the USS Princeton during Dave's time (1964-1966).

We called it an early evening and headed back to the room to cozy down in the duvets.
