Day 90 - USA Tour - Glacier National Park

Overnight: West Glacier, MT
R&R Day

Today we piddled around on our PCs, nibbled on leftovers for breakfast, and then went off to do our laundry. I had all four washers full and both dryers. Fortunately, only one person came to use the facilities, and she only had to wait 15 minutes for my loads to be done. Then, she filled all four washers. This laundry room was the pits because there was no folding table. The only table they had was covered with magazines and you had to fold your clothes on top of them. The table was dining table-height, so you got a back ache quickly. Not a good situation.

Dennis will meet with us tomorrow, so needed to get our chores done today. We are still absorbing our great heli-tour from yesterday.

I made reservations for the Red Bus Tour on Monday. It will take us through the center of the park on what is called the Going-to-the-Sun Road. The maximum size of vehicles allowed on this road is 8-ft wide (including mirrors) and 12-ft. long (including all bumpers). So, when we leave here, if we decide to go to Canada, we will have to back-track and go around the south side of the Rockies and up the east side--just like we came into the area.

The tour lasts about 8 hours, depending upon traffic and road construction delays. We could do this ourselves, but as always, the driver misses a lot. Naturally, we don't get the details about what we see if we drive ourselves. In addition, Dave's back has "had it" after 4 hours of driving. The drive is 3-hours one way. If he sits in the bus, he can wiggle and squirm to change positions, which he can't do when driving!

Here's a picture of the Red Bus. Cool. The canvas top rolls back so you can see above you. Also, there is a door at each row of seats--a nice convenience.

Tonight I made a stir-fry meal. It was one of those all-in-one packages you get frozen and it has the meat, veggies, and rice--all in separate parts of the bag. I added a few items of my own, like bean sprouts and pineapple. It was really good. It was convenient, easy to fix, and didn't take up much room in the freezer. So, we'll try other flavors next time.

Well, that's all for tonight. I have had massive leg cramps this evening. So, I'm gulping lots of water to keep them at bay during the night. But, I suppose that means I'll be up at night for other reasons!! LOL. I don't think I drank enough water today; I oozed a lot of water in the hot laundry room; and, then, to top it all off, we had that salty stir-fry for din-din.

Dave worked on his genealogy tonight and even set up the printer to work with his PC. Usually, the printer is connected to my PC. I have my PC on one TV tray and the printer on another TV tray next to it. Dave has the dining room table for his set up. Pleasant dreams, y'all.
