After 3 days of intensive loading of the trailer, we finally left Hoschton at 11:15 AM today. We drove to Braselton (all of 10 minutes) and decided we were hungry. So, we stopped at Zaxby's for a sandwich. Never let it be said that we don't seek adventure!!

After chowing down, we were FINALLY on the road at noon. Today's trek was uneventful (at least so far). It's hard to get back into the swing of RVing full time. When we pulled into our spot, Dave and I both felt like ducks out of water and wondered what our first task was to set it up for the night. But, it quickly came back.

Before we began this USA Tour, we bought Dave a new laptop. On our trek to Albuquerque, we found it wasn't much fun to wait your turn to use the laptop. So, we are now both set up and whizzing right along (I'm relegated to the old laptop).

Last week, Dave pulled the sofa and the dinette benches out of the RV. The sofa was a sofa-bed and it "gave" in the middle so much that I got a backache quickly when crocheting or watching TV. The dinette benches were stiff and a tight squeeze to get into for folks of our size. So, now (as you can see from the before-and-after pictures) we are quite comfy in our recliners for watching TV and crocheting. And Dave can sit at the table and put his chair where ever he wants to so that he can keep an eye on the neighbors and use the laptop at the same time. We can also be quite comfortable when eating dinner.

Notice the 3-drawer cabinet next to the recliner. That's stuffed with all of the AAA Tour Books, maps for all states and Canada, and our camping club catalogs and other road guides, such as The Next Exit book. The only states not represented in those drawers are those in New England!

Well, it's time to make dinner on my gas stove near the sink with running water with the air conditioner running full blast while watching the cable TV. Camping just isn't what it used to be! Thanks goodness.
