Planning Timed Events

Our first scheduled destination is Dave's Navy reunion. We need to arrive in Green Bay, WI, by June 6. From there, we will head west through South and North Dakota toward our next destination--Calgary. In Calgary, we will join an RV group to attend the Calgary Stampede events and to see area sights.

The Calgary Stampede reservations are for July 7 - 14. The RV group consists of approximately 40 RVs. The RV group provides a guide and tour bus to escort us from one event or sightseeing journey to another. We will visit Calgary attractions and then they will take us to Lake Louise and Banff, Alberta, Canada, to see the towns, lakes, glaciers, and mountains. We will be back through this area when we leave Calgary and head toward Prince Rupert, British Columbia, Canada, on the west coast. That's where we catch our ferry.

The ferry (Alaska Marine Highway) reservations are confirmed. On the day we leave Prince Rupert, we need to check-in no later than 3 hours prior to departure. That means we need to be checked in no later than 4 AM. YIKES!

Now, we begin the arduous task of planning the rest of the trip. We will be leaving home sometime around May 1.
